"Judaism teaches that the greatest reality is one we cannot see... "
Rabbi David Wolpe

Welcome. Our Adult Education Committee has planned an innovation program of courses and lectures to enrich and inspire the Sinai Temple Membership and Community.

We are pleased to offer a wide array of courses featuring an outstanding faculty selected from our Sinai family and community. Come study, discuss and learn with us. Please check this site frequently, classes are updated on a regular basis.

In cooperation with Jewish Family Services (JFS), The Family Center coordinates a "Caring for our Special Needs Children" support group meeting twice each month during the school year. Its goals are two fold:
1) To provide the opportunity for parents to share and discuss some of the unique issues of raising a special needs child; and
2) To provide informative and stimulating speakers on a wide range of topics related to special needs. Further, this group is made possible by a partnership between University Synagogue, Temple Beth Am and Sinai Temple. Sally Weber, LCSW of JFS facilitates the group.

For more information contact Jewish Family Services at 323.761.8800.

The Chai Society continues to meet monthly in preparation for their Shabbat morning greeting of congregants on the second and fourth Saturday of every month. The group has also organized periodic events for their membership including the Norton Simon Museum Tour, the Tustin Dinner Theatre "The King & I," "Picon Pie" The Life of Molly Picon musical at the Santa Monica Playhouse and Beit T'Shuvah Friday night Services.

Dor Chadash was created to provide social and religious activities that integrate parents and young children into the Sinai Temple community.
Programs include education on Jewish home life, holiday observance, family oriented services and community work. We hope to encourage commitment to the synagogue and develop congregation leadership. We welcome all families with children 5 years old and younger and look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.

For their 2006-7 calendar of for questions please contact the Program Office at (310) 481-3243.

Sinai Temple is a partnership between its clergy, staff, lay leaders and devoted members who are committed to supporting the tradition and vision of Sinai Temple. Your gift to Sinai Temple will enable us to continue these holy tasks for years to come. Thank you for helping us to bring our history, our beliefs and our promise to a new generation.
We are a member of the Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs. We aim to provide a framework within which men can broaden their knowledge and understanding of the history and values of our people and in which they can make tangible contributions of their talents and treasure in an environment of good fellowship.
Our goal at Sinai Temple is to create a Bar/Bat Mitzvah program that is a spiritual and religious experience counseling child and family to God, the Jewish people and to each other.
The Sinai Temple Israel Center is the first synagogue center that provides programmatic resources and avenues for Los Angeles Jewry to establish cultural, professional, spiritual, and economic ties to the land of Israel.
Sinai Temple's 20's & 30's Community

A warm, traditional lay-led family friendly service. We meet weekly, beginning at 9:30am and finishing at 12 noon with a scrumptious kiddush. Come join our family!
