Adult Hebrew Class - Level Aleph Adult Hebrew Class – Level Aleph

In this beginner’s class, you will learn to read the basic prayers and blessings as well as study grammar and vocabulary with our expert Hebrew instructor, Dina Dvir.

When: Weekly, Mondays, 8:15 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.*

Dates:

  • Fall Session: October 24, 2011 – February 13, 2012
  • Spring Session: February 27, 2012 – May 21, 2012

* Exceptions: November 28, December 19, December 26, January 2, January 16, February 6, March 26, April 9. Schedule subject to change.

Cost for year: $200/Sinai Temple Members, $250/Non Members
Cost includes 11 sessions, and does not include the required text.

Adult Hebrew Class - Level BetAdult Hebrew Class - Level Bet

In this intermediate level class, you will enhance your ability to read basic prayers and blessings from the Siddur, as well as learn grammatical structures, new vocabulary, and cursive writing with our expert Hebrew instructor, Dina Dvir. This class is intended for those who have some basic knowledge of Hebrew, or who have already taken the Level Aleph class.

When: Weekly, Mondays, 10:00 a.m – 11:30 a.m. *

Adult Bar and Bat Mitzvah Classes are BACK!

It is YOUR time to be a part of our tradition! Come and learn about this exciting opportunity to become an Adult Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Led by Ralph Resnick, this is a 27 session class that concludes with a special celebration on Shavuot. Classes will be taught by all of Sinai Temple’s Rabbis and Cantors.

Starting in late-October, two class options will be offered on Wednesdays, from 12pm-2pm and 7pm-9pm. Please contact the Program Department at programs@sinaitemple.org or 310-481-3243 to reserve your spot! Space is limited!

Cost: $250 (plus the cost of Hebrew classes)

Starting November 3rd, spend an hour every Thursday morning deepening your understanding of Judaism and our sacred text. Learn along with us as we go through the Torah together; no previous knowledge or Hebrew is required.

Torah in the Round regularly meets on the third Shabbat of the month, usually located in Kohn Chapel.
