Alice & Nahum Lainer Learning and Lunch: Life Lessons from the Bible with Rabbi David Wolpe

Does the Bible still teach us how to live? How many of us, in an age of therapy and self-help gurus and television talk shows, think the bible has wisdom that we don't have? In this class Rabbi Wolpe will explore whether the book we know as God's word has something to tell us about families, parenting, sexuality, failure and faith.

with Rabbi David Wolpe

Starting November 5, spend an hour every Thursday morning deepening your understanding of Judaism and our sacred text. Learn along with us as we go through the Torah together; no previous knowledge or Hebrew is required.

When: Thursdays, 8:15 a.m.

God Talk: What About God and Personal Faith?

Join us as we explore the most personal and challenging aspects of our faith.  What is God and how do we relate to God?  Why is there suffering in the world?  How do we understand miracles?  What happens after we die?  We will explore these and other topics as we journey towards creating a belief system.

Adult Bat Mitzvah ClassAdult Bat Mitzvah Class

It is YOUR time to be a part of our tradition! Come and learn about this exciting opportunity to become an Adult Bat Mitzvah. This is a 25 session class that concludes with a special Bat Mitzvah celebration on Shavu’ot, and is led by Rabbi Guzik and Rabbi Sela, with classes taught by all the Rabbis and Cantors.

 

 

When: Tuesdays, 12 noon - 2:00pm

Dates:  Oct. 20 - May 18 (There will be no classes on Dec. 22, 29; Jan. 5; Mar. 30; Apr. 6)

Cost for 25 class series: $180/person (includes all materials) plus the cost of Hebrew classes
