TIRZA VOLKMAR
3RD GRADE TEACHER
My name is Tirza Volkmar and I am the 3rd grade teacher here at Sinai Temple. I have been a teacher for the last twenty six years and enjoyed every minute of it! For the past 17 years I have taught at Harkham Hillel Hebrew Academy and the last 9 years, I have taught at Sinai Temple. My love for teaching started at young age and has been my true passion. Having the opportunity to witness children grow and develop is an absolute priviledge. Being able to instill in them the importance of the land of Israel is very important to me. A date that is very personal and significant to me was the day my only child was born. My son, Ron, was born on November 13, 1996. Becoming a mother and raising my son taught me that motherhood and teaching young children is very similar.
