“It is our task and our honor to comfort those in pain and stand beside all in our community in their most difficult days. The Jacob Weisbarth Hospice Center of Sinai Temple is devoted to the highest ideals of Jewish caretaking: we are our brother’s and sister’s keepers.”
-Rabbi David Wolpe

A Sinai Temple Caring Community Program
What is Hospice?
Hospice is a program of care and support of those facing a terminal illness, when a cure is no longer possible. It consists of a team approach designed to provide comfort and care to patients and their families. The team is comprised of the patient’s physician, a medical director, a registered nurse, a clinical social worker, a home health aide, a Rabbi, and a trained volunteer. Most insurance plans, including Medicare, cover licensed hospice treatment, whether at home, a hospital or other care facility.
Sinai Temple is here to help you and your family with any questions or concerns you might have regarding end of life decisions.
