WHAT IS SINAI TEMPLE USY?
Sinai Temple United Synagogue Youth inspires Jewish youth to explore, celebrate and practice ethical values, Jewish Living, Zionism and community responsibility based on the ideology of the Conservative Movement.

THE TIME TO JOIN US…IS NOW!

USY Re-Launch Party

9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders:

Imagine a place where you can have fun, hang out with your friends and try new things. A place free from the constraints of school. A place where you can come and hang out, make a difference, meet a new friend and maybe even learn something new. A place where you can take charge and be a leader, be a part of amazing new events and learn about who you are, where you came from and where you’re going. A warm, welcoming community, where you are free to be Jewish, free to learn, free to have fun and free to be you.

My name is Matt Baram and I’m the new Youth Director here at Sinai Temple. It wasn’t so long ago that I was in USY, but boy do I miss it. Those teenage years were tough on me just like everybody else, but USY provided an amazing escape – a place where I really found myself as a leader, a friend and a Jew. Over the last 10 years, as both a USYer and staff member, I’ve been blessed to be at over 50 kinnusim and 7 International USY conventions. I’ve travelled to 46 of our 50 great states, Canada, Italy and Israel. I’ve learned more than I could begin to recall, had some of the most amazing religious and spiritual experiences of my life and made life-long friends around the globe.

I’m here to help you have those same types of experiences.

We have a lot of amazing events planned and would love for you to join us!

The Kickoff – USY is back and better than ever! On October 30, please join us for music, food, games, raffle prizes and the best people imaginable as we re-launch Sinai USY. Make new friends, meet Matt, Rabbi Fruithandler, and the Chapter board, and tell us what you’d like to see during the next year. R.S.V.P. to Matt Baram at mbaram@sinaitemple.org or usy@sinaitemple.org, or call at (310) 474 3232.

Sinai Temple is a partnership between its clergy, staff, lay leaders and devoted members who are committed to supporting the tradition and vision of Sinai Temple. Your gift to Sinai Temple will enable us to continue these holy tasks for years to come. Thank you for helping us to bring our history, our beliefs and our promise to a new generation.
We are a member of the Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs. We aim to provide a framework within which men can broaden their knowledge and understanding of the history and values of our people and in which they can make tangible contributions of their talents and treasure in an environment of good fellowship.
Our goal at Sinai Temple is to create a Bar/Bat Mitzvah program that is a spiritual and religious experience counseling child and family to God, the Jewish people and to each other.
The Sinai Temple Israel Center is the first synagogue center that provides programmatic resources and avenues for Los Angeles Jewry to establish cultural, professional, spiritual, and economic ties to the land of Israel.
Sinai Temple's 20's & 30's Community
Torah in the Round regularly meets on the third Shabbat of the month, usually located in Kohn Chapel.
We are ready to commit to Torah—through reflection, persistence, and study. Are you? Welcome to Torah in the Round!
A warm, traditional lay-led family friendly service. We meet weekly, beginning at 9:30am and finishing at 12 noon with a scrumptious kiddush. Come join our family!
