  • Sundays:   8:00 AM- 3:00 PM
  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday:   9:00 AM- 5:30 PM
  • Wednesday:   10:00 AM – 7:00 PM


Under the direction of the Religious School Director, this position supports and ensures the smooth operation of Sinai Temple’s robust K-7th grade Religious School.  This position is the face of the Religious School. With a customer service mindset, this individual is on the front lines for Religious School parents, students and teachers, providing information and problem-solving support in a timely manner. This individual manages the many moving pieces of a busy, fast-paced office, including but not limited to Excel spreadsheets, creating flyers, responding to teacher and parent requests, ordering supplies, preparing for school-wide events, collaborating with other Temple staff members, etc.


  • Student enrollment and registration
    • Enter family and student information into Smart Tuition and Raisers Edge databases
    • Supports families in creation of payment plans
    • Follow-up with Religious School families with open balances on their accounts
  • Assist with bi-weekly staff payroll
  • Monitors financial activities of the department
    • Event and Program Budgeting
    • Check Requests/Reimbursements
    • Monthly credit card reconciliation
    • Management of monthly operating budget

Manage administrative needs of the office

  • Maintain inventory of departmental supplies and replenish as needed
  • Update forms as needed, ensuring all stakeholders have correct information
  • Maintain department files- sorting, filing, copying
  • Assist with correspondence for all education programs and events (publicity, progress reports, )
  • Communication with teachers and parents regarding student attendance


  • Skills Required: Database, typing (60wpm) analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines, prioritize and execute tasks
  • Efficient and savvy in work completion
  • Time management and ability to work well under minimal supervision for project completion
  • Have a valid driver’s license (or a reliable means to get to work)
  • Familiar with Judaism or is willing to learn
  • Is physically able to perform all functions of job, (lift and put away office supplies, occasionally run errands or do shopping)


  • Proficient in social media and digital communications. Can express self in writing, competent with letter writing, English grammar, and composition.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent


$60,000-$63,000 based on experience and skills
