7TH GRADE – KITAH ZAYIN
For me, doing mitzvot is one of the most important parts of being a Jew. It ties in with the Jewish value of Kol Arevim Zeh b’zeh. All of Israel takes care of one another. I strive for a minimum of one mitzvah a day. Whether it’s donating to a charity, giving food to a homeless person, visiting the sick, or just being there for a loved one. Some rabbis say that we are only one mitzvah away from the coming of the Mashiach. You never know! It could be the one you do today. I challenge my students to do the same because as long as we look out for one another and spread lovingkindness in the world, we will be a flourishing people. A people that the rest of the world can look up to.
