My name is Rebecca Sadik and I am excited to start the school year as a teacher’s assistant at Sinai temple religious school. My hebrew birthday is Cheshvan 10, 5750. A person’s Hebrew birthday is a special day; it is said that a person’s Hebrew birthday is a time when that individual is able to bless other people. This tradition of being able to spread blessings and love to others on my Hebrew birthday is important to me because I feel that it helps connect people with one another. Additionally, this is special because it helps bring all the Jewish people together by encouraging them to be loving and wishing only good for others. All of this is one way to help the Jewish people unite and act as one people which I believe is an important message in Judaism.
