Packing With Purpose: GO Campaign

On Saturday, April 13, directly following Shabbat morning services, our Social Action Committee (and friends!) packed bags of supplies for GO Campaign, an organization that improves the lives of orphans and vulnerable children around the world by partnering with local heroes to deliver local solutions. GO Campaign aims to change lives and transform communities, one child at a time.

Below are accounts from leaders of the organization regarding how these bags of essential items ended up benefitting communities in great need:

“The very first bag went to Javi yesterday. He is a 15 year old Honduran refugee with Down Syndrome.   He and his mom live with us.  He liked it so much, he took everything out of his school backpack and put it in this one.  His friends in his special education class want one also.”“We passed out 34 of the food bags today and the families at the refugee shelter absolutely loved them. Thank you so much for making this happen!”

“We just passed out the kids bags about an hour ago at a refugee shelter in Tijuana. They absolutely loved them! Thank you so much for making this happen.”

This project is part of Sinai Temple’s Packing With Purpose initiative, led by the Social Action Committee, which packs bags for people/organizations in need approximately once a month. Interested in learning more about this project? Contact [email protected].
