Dr. David Paikal

Dr. David Paikal is a native of Los Angeles, having graduated from University High School and then from UCLA, majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology. He attended UCLA Medical School and then did his ophthalmology residency at the UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute. He is in private practice in the Encino area but continues to hold a teaching appointment as a Volunteer Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology.

David’s relationship with Sinai Temple dates back over 40 years, having attended religious school here and having had his Bar Mitzvah here, with Rabbi Dershowitz presiding. He currently serves on various temple committees, and along with his wife, Sindy, and daughter, Sophia, are actively engaged Sinai Temple members.
