Dor Chadash

Dor Chadash (New Generation) is Sinai Temple’s amazing community for young families. You are invited to enjoy this smaller, more intimate home where you and your children (ages 0-6 years old) can find social, cultural and spiritual activities to enrich your connection to Jewish life.

Through programming, Dor Chadash teaches acceptance of others, encourages acts of kindness and tzedakah, and helps children learn through play. We focus on creating a connection to clergy, learning about Jewish values and holidays, and providing fun opportunities for families to enjoy Jewish life together.

Join Dor Chadash for our fun upcoming events:

Parents slip on a pair of jeans and children wear their cozy pajamas to shul. Join us on the first Friday of every month (October – March) at 5:45pm for Kabbalat Shabbat and a light dinner.

Join us for a musical outdoor Kabbalat Shabbat experience. Bring a dairy picnic dinner to  Holmby Park at 5:45pm on the first Friday of every month (April – September).

Celebrate Shabbat with the Sinai Temple clergy followed by Kiddush and an arts and crafts project created by Morah Diana. Join us on the second Saturday of each month at 9:30am.

Discover the Sinai Akiba 3rd floor library on the third Wednesday of the month at 5:00pm.

Our big, exciting holiday events include Shofar Blast (a High Holiday Service for young children), the One Crazy Night Hanukkah Party, and Planet Purim!

We hope you will join us and take advantage of these fun opportunities to enjoy Jewish life together with other young families.
