Sinai Temple

Learn the liturgy of Shabbat, the history of the prayers, how to read Hebrew and how to read from the Torah. Join this class-no experience necessary and have an adult B’nai mitzvah at the conclusion of the year.

When: Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm
Where: In person at Sinai Temple (Instructor will teach via zoom).
Zoom option for participants upon request.
Cost: $360 Per Student

Teacher: Rabbinic Intern Lilli Shvartsmann
(with Participation from Sinai clergy)
Lilli, a Los Angeles native, is a fourth year rabbinical student at the Jewish Theological Seminary. Lilli works as a rabbinic intern at Congregation Beth El in South Orange, NJ. Previously, she was the rabbinic intern at Hillel at Binghamton University and worked on grassroots projects to engage college students during the summer and throughout Covid. Lilli has spent her summers as a division leader for USY on Wheels, teacher at Ramah Nyack and during the year she prepares students to become B’nai Mitzvah. Lilli spent one year serving in the Avodah Jewish Service Corps, and one year as a fellow at Hadar.
