Community Challah Bake

We invite you to join us for Sinai Akiba’s Challah Bake, an annual tradition featuring Mrs. Heather Lipman, our Challah Baker extraordinaire, Rabbi Feig, and Rabbi Guzik. Bake with your children, grandparents, friends, or on your own, while we join millions across the world on this day for a spiritual (and musical) Challah Bake as Mrs. Lipman shares the meaning behind why we bake Challah.
 
About the Bake
Join us on Zoom with your children, for our Annual Challah Bake. Mrs. Lipman, Rabbi Guzik and Rabbi Feig will lead this spiritual event with music and share the meaning behind why we bake challah.  
 
Registration
Registration is free! However, we have customized baking kits available for purchase ($35) that include most of the supplies you will need for this event. Our baking kits come with enough ingredients to make 3-4 challot:
– Recipe and blessing
– Stainless steel bowl and measuring cup
– 1 adult branded chef’s hat
– 1 child chef’s hat with pens and crafts to decorate
– Baking ingredients include sugar, oil and yeast
– Not included: You will need to provide a 5-lb bag of flour, salt, eggs, and water
*Baking kits and other items cannot be shipped. Baking kit pick-up will be at Sinai before the event (more details to follow).
Additional Items for Sale
You may add additional child chef’s hats for $5 each and adult chef hats for $8 each.
 
Registration Deadline
Friday, October 1 is the deadline to the baking kits and additional items.
