Join Dr. Jeff Herbst, President of American Jewish University, in conversation with Rabbi Erez Sherman. The pandemic and subsequent economic recession have forced all organizations to reconsider how to interact with their constituents and, in the case of synagogues, their congregants. Dr. Herbst will discuss possible futures for the Jewish community when it seems that investment in $100 web cam may reach more people than millions of dollars devoted to buildings. While some aspects of these debates are unique to the Jewish community, predictions about the future of communal life also reflect larger discussions about how society will be organized in the future.
