Rabbi Andy Feig is in his thirteenth year as Sinai Akiba Academy’s School Rabbi. A native Chicagoan, Rabbi Feig has lived and worked in Los Angeles for the last twenty one years.  He received his degree in Hebrew studies and political science from the University of Wisconsin and has a Master’s in Jewish Studies from the University of Chicago.  Before finishing rabbinical school, Rabbi Feig worked at Milken Community High School where he was a Dean of Students and taught Rabbinics. Previous to Milken, he was an administrator and teacher at Stephen S. Wise Temple Elementary School. In 2007, he was ordained as rabbi at the Academy for Jewish Religion, California.  Rabbi Feig has a wonderful family: married to Julie Flapan and is blessed with three children, two SAA Alums and one current SAA Middle Schooler; Ella (college), Ezra (high School) and Eytan (7th grade).

About this concert: “Throughout college and post-college, I played in a rock band (with different iterations), writing our own original songs, and performing in Madison, WI; Minneapolis, MN; New York, NY; and Chicago, IL. It was a blast! Here are some of the songs we wrote and performed. What a throw-back! Enjoy!”

The Sodot Concert Series is a new weekly event highlighting musical talents of Sinai Temple members and staff. Have a musical talent that you would like to broadcast? Contact [email protected].
