My name is Tessa Lydic and this is my first year as the Religious School Office Manager. On January 5, 2011 (the Hebrew date 29th of Tevet, 5771) I became a mother. This date is the most significant date in my life, in that I learned what true sacrificial love was. The moment I became a mother, I shed any remnants of selfishness. I began to truly live for the beautiful moments of raising a daughter and building a family. I began to see life differently, feel things more intensely, and love more deeply. She has been my teacher, just as much as I am hers. And there have been many days where I have felt I needed her more than she has needed me. It’s a beautiful journey, motherhood; and it will reshape the person you are for the better.
