Jina Rezvanpour

Jina was born and raised in Tehran in an observant Jewish family. Her father, Dr. Jahangir Bina z” l, and mother, Mahin Bina, an educated housewife, taught her the fundamentals of Judaism.

She received a BA in Psychology and Family Counseling from Tehran’s Shemran University, and while pursuing her education, she met her husband, D. Ata Rezvanpour, an Interventional Radiologist.

Jina has two wonderful daughters, Sogol, a registered nurse at Cedars Sinai, and Doris, a pharmacist. Doris is married to George Sherf and has two children, Aden and Sienna, who attend SAA.

Jina was Sinai Temple Sisterhood President from 2002-2004, a Women’s League for Conservative Judaism Board Member, and President of the Pacific Southwest Region from 2018-2021. She received multiple honors, including Sisterhood’s Hayay Olam Award, Aishet Chayil, Masorti, Burning Bush Honorees, and the Chesed Award. She also sat on the Ziegler Advisory Board for over 25 years.

Jina sat on multiple Sinai Temple Committees, including the Executive, Budget, Bylaws, Contract, Membership, and Ritual Committees. She is currently the co-chair of the Barad Hall High Holy Day committee.
