There are multiple ways to join Sinai Temple. The first step is to fill out an application. You can fill out this form online, or print this form and bring it to Sinai Temple.

Sinai Temple has membership rates for everyone. The rates are based on both age, size of household, and where the member would like to sit during our High Holy Day services. There are many benefits of membership at Sinai Temple. Based on your interests, the membership department will connect you with a community leader and help guide you through Sinai’s flourishing communities. We will help you make Sinai Temple your second home. Members form relationships with Sinai Temple clergy and have access to them for lifecycle events. Some of the other benefits of membership include free classes, discounted events, use of a full synagogue library, underground parking, and High Holy Day tickets. Members are encouraged to take leadership positions at Sinai and enroll their children in one of the Sinai Temple school programs. Memberships can be paid via check or credit card both online or over the phone. There is an additional charge of $50 for payments made with a credit card over the phone. There is no additional fee for credit card payments online. If you need your member login information to pay online please contact membership at 310-481-3228 or [email protected].

Yes, customized payment plans are available. Please contact the membership department at 310-481-3228 or [email protected] to discuss a customized plan.

Yes, membership dues can be paid through an automatic monthly payment plan. In order to process your request, we will need the following information:

  1. This ACH Monthly Payment Plan Agreement form filled out (in sections 1 and 2) and signed
  2. One deposit check of at least 10% of your annual dues; and
  3. One voided check from the account you would like your monthly payments withdrawn from.

The student security fee is $200 for each child enrolled in one of Sinai’s school programs. This fee helps offset the security costs for armed guards when students are present.

The building maintenance fee pays for any repairs or maintenance at Sinai Temple. The building maintenance fund fee varies based on your membership and High Holy Day seating preferences.

Yes, senior rates are available and start at the age of 80. The rate for senior membership depends on seating for the High Holy Days. Please contact the Membership Department at 310-481-3228 or email [email protected].

Young adults are encouraged to take an active role at Sinai Temple. Discounted rates are available and are based on age and seating for the High Holy Days. Please contact the Membership Department at 310-481-3228 or email [email protected].

Your support through membership dues sustains the vibrant community at Sinai Temple. As such, dues rates are non-negotiable. We are here to help you by offering financial aid for membership.

Yes, in order to be a member of Sinai Temple you must pay membership dues at Sinai.

Sinai Temple has a proud tradition of making membership possible for everyone in our community. If you are interested in applying for special dues consideration, please fill out this application and submit it along with your tax return to the membership department. In order to be considered for special dues, the application must be filled out completely. The confidential Special Dues Committee will determine an award amount and you will be contacted by the membership department once a decision is made. When you are notified, you can either make payments towards your dues or set up a monthly payment plan. Please contact the membership department if you’d like to set up an ACH monthly payment plan.

A limited number of seats are available in the Main Sanctuary during High Holy Days. To request a seat in the Main Sanctuary, please contact [email protected].

People who live outside of the Los Angeles area can sign up for a non-resident membership. This membership allows you to continue to be a part of the Sinai Temple Community and affords some benefits of membership. The non-resident membership fee is $500 per year which covers July 1 through June 30. Please contact the membership department to discuss signing up for non-resident membership.
