The event will begin with observance of Yom Hazikaron Join cantor, musicologist, and popular writer Cantor Matt Austerklein for a musical evening exploring the evolution of the cantorial arts through the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque eras. This lecture-concert will feature interactive storytelling, communal singing, and performances from Cantor Austerklein, Cantor Feldman, Music Director Benjamin Fingerhut , and other musicians.
