Hi my name is Sharon Eshaghian.

I am so excited to be teaching 5th grade in the Religious school this year.

June, 13, 2006, 17th of  Sivan, 5766, was a special day for me because it was the day I graduated from law school.

June 13, 613, is a significant number in Judaism because G-d gave the Jews 613 commandments.

The 613 commandments include “positive commandments” to perform and act (mitzvoth aseh), and “negative commandments”, to abstain  from certain acts (mitzvot lo taaseh). Throughout law school I learned how  the  law and the commandments given to us by G-d, are guidelines to direct individuals to do what is right and serve as the basis for Jewish practice.

Lighting Shabbat candles on Friday night is my favorite mitzvah because of the peace and sanctity it brings to my home.

I look forward to an amazing and peaceful year.
