Sinai Successes

Sisterhood Installation

On Tuesday, June 12, Sinai Temple Sisterhood celebrated the successes of the past year, as well as the many exciting things to come in 2018-19, at the group’s Installation Brunch. Chaired by temple member Rosa Berman Ruder, over 75 people attended the event, which welcomed incoming board officers, including Co-Presidents Lisa Pompan and Leslie Wachtel. The theme of the event was embracing traditions of the past, while cultivating innovation and change. Outgoing board members, including Co-President Flora Ahdout, were also thanked for their incredible dedication and service.  Rabbi Nicole Guzik, Sisterhood’s spiritual leader, served as the installing officer.

The Installation was also an opportunity to bid farewell to Cantor Lisa Peicott, and thank her for her years of service to the Sinai community. Cantor Peicott and incoming Cantorial Intern David Childs performed musical selections for the group. While we are immensely sad to see Cantor Peicott go, Cantorial Intern Childs will provide a new voice and perspective to the clergy team. We are happy to have him!

Congratulations to Sisterhood and we look forward to a productive year of programming!
