OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Sisterhood empowers a diverse group of women of varying ages to observe and promote Jewish values and traditions, enjoying warmth and friendship in the process. While enriching our lives through our many activities, we support Sinai Temple, Conservative Judaism and the greater community through our social action programs and fundraising efforts. We value the energy, ideas and participation that our members bring.

Sisterhood Board Meetings are open to all.  Meeting dates to come.

Sisterhood Classes

The Balance Class With Larry Sarokin
Every Wednesday, 9:30-10:30 AM on Zoom. No class on July 10.

Learn the principles of Chinese circle walking, which incorporate some tai chi movements, to enhance your balance and posture. Peaceful meditation at the end of each class. Join the session HERE during meeting time weekly.
 

Neuroplasticity and Proprioception Training

Calligraphy with DeAnn Singh

Mondays, 12:00 to 2:00 PM. Zoom.
Ten-week session, May 6 – July 15
Create a set of capitals decorated with flourishing. We’ll start with a set of Roman, Italic, or Lombardic capitals and make a frame of flourishing around it. 
Hopefully we can create an entire set of the alphabet. This way you’ll have your own exemplar ready when you need it.

Needlepoint with Rachelle Marcus 

Rachelle is an experienced needle pointer and will be happy to guide you to create tallit bags, kippot, eyeglass cases, pillowcases, and picture frames. Contact Rachelle for more information at [email protected].

Art Workshop with Gail Rollman

10:30AM-12:00 PM, Ongoing to August 28
Wednesdays June 5 and 26, Mondays June 10 and 17
Wednesdays July 10, 17, 24, 31, and August 14, 21, 28
Explore different art media including collage, mixed media, watercolor, acrylic painting, and crafts. Have fun and learn new techniques each week from our instructor, Gail Rollman. At Sinai. The cost is $10 per class and covers materials. Pay at the door each week. Please RSVP to Gail at [email protected].
