A Warm Welcome from our Vice President of Programming, Rachel Khorshad!

by Teen Council Vice President of Programming, RACHEL KHORSHAD Hi all! My name is Rachel Khorshad, and I am so excited to be the Vice President of Programming for the Sinai Temple Teen Center this year! I am a currently a high school senior at Beverly Hills High School, where I spend most of my time leading and being a part of a wide range of extracurriculars. The Importance of USY, our Conservative Jewish Youth Group

By Teen Council President, HANNAH KEKST For the majority of my life, my summers at Camp Ramah were where I spent those 4 weeks grappling with and expressing my Jewish identity. Occasionally, I’d attend a Jewish teen event at my temple, where I was reminded of my identity and the beautiful community it comes with. But, like many other Jewish educators will tell you, it wasn’t that I went into the “real world” with the intent of being a Jewish teen…

How You Can Help

A Prayer in the Face of Hurricane Harvey Ribbono Shel Olam, Creator of All, Too often we face destruction, loss, and broken-ness. Too often we are reminded that we control so little. Your people are frail, we break so easily. When the disaster is too great we turn to you. Please God, as the flood waters rise in Texas help us remember that to be Jewish is to be compassionate, help us remember our mission to repair the world, help us to be a light in this time of darkness. And let us say, Amen A Message from Rabbi Gideon…

March of the Living

MARCH OF THE LIVING MISSION Sinai Temple Sisterhood is honored to present a powerful March of the Living group trip for young professionals throughout our Sinai community (Temple members and non-members). Held annually on Yom HaShoah, March of the Living is a two-mile walk from Auschwitz to Birkenau, as a silent tribute to victims of the Holocaust. The 2022 trip will take place from April 24-May 3, 2022. The delegation will be joined by Rabbi David Wolpe and renowned Holocaust Educator Michael…
