Briana oversees programming and engagement efforts to cultivate Jewish community for young adults. Briana holds her Master’s in Education and Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine and serves on the board of Hillel at The George Washington University. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Briana grew up attending Camp Ramah in Ojai, CA and was bat mitzvahed at Sinai Temple. Mayrav Gaslin is a communications strategist and content consultant, working primarily in the health care industry. She hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Northwestern University. Mayrav is also a tireless volunteer, particularly for Sinai Temple and SAA. She is a former Executive Board member of Sinai Temple and has served many volunteer roles at SAA, including being a “Room Mom” since the stone ages (give or take a few years). Shanaz “Shan” Farahi and her husband Judah joined Sinai Temple in 2007. Her sons, Benjamin and Ilan, attended the Religious School and celebrated their B’nai Mitzvah at Sinai Temple. Shan was actively involved in the Religious School and since 2018 has served on the Executive Board of Sisterhood. As a graduate from the University of Southern California with a Business degree, she works in the real estate industry focusing on sales and property management. David Kekst grew up in the New York and Connecticut suburbs of New York City, where he attended a Jewish day school through 8th grade. He moved into Manhattan for high school and went on to earn a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1990 and a law degree from Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1994.
