The Chai Society of Sinai Temple is open to anyone 55 years of age or older. We are the official Shabbat greeters and we meet monthly on the Tuesday evening prior to the last Shabbat of each month. At our meetings we have enjoyed speakers on various topics such as medical issues, ethical wills, and reports from our members on interesting trips they have taken. This year we heard from Cantor Marcus Feldman, Merrill Shindler, a restauranteur, Aaron Cohen, Aryel Cohen’s father, and participated in chair dancing with Adele Stogel. Sinai Temple’s Social Action Committee creates innovative opportunities for the Sinai Temple community to give back. This pioneering group plans speakers around social action initiatives, increasing awareness about ways to give back.
